Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch is pet-friendly. Bring your leashed pooch along to this natural space for a hike on one of the winding loop trails. The pathways give you the opportunity to witness animals in their natural habitat. Keep dogs on a maximum of a six foot leash at all times to ensure they don't approach wildlife.

 From September until May, enjoy the dog-friendly Apache Wash Trails on the north side of Phoenix, Arizona. There are a number of different trails for you to choose from, ranging from easy to moderate level.

 The Sunrise Peak Trail in Scottsdale, Arizona is a great trek for more experienced hikers. It is an in-and-out trail totaling in length of four miles, with a 1,100 foot elevation change.

There are classic cars in the museum, all of which were donated from the personal collection of Mel Martin. For a five-dollar donation, you can touch and sit in all of the cars (aside from two extremely valuable exceptions). For the human kids, there is also a small carousel. Small dogs are allowed in the museum, but they need to be leashed or carried.

 This securely-fenced area is one of Tempe's five off-leash dog parks, and also includes grassy areas, shade trees, benches and picnic tables. 


  • Kiwanis Recreation Center

 Fitness enthusiasts can enjoy time at the Kiwanis Recreation Center in Tempe, Arizona, which has over 54,000 square feet of recreation facilities. While dogs are only allowed in the outdoor park, humans can enjoy a fitness center, wave pool, gymnasium, basketball and tennis courts, and batting range. Outside, you and Fido can stroll around the park or stop for a picnic at one of the shaded picnic ramadas. Dogs must be leashed at all times. 


  • Hayden Butte Preserve

At this 25-acre park, you and Fido will enjoy the beauty of desert vegetation, rocky outcrops, wildlife, and historical sites.   • Clark Park

 Clark Park is pet-friendly. Located on ten acres, this neighborhood gathering spot is home to a lovely fenced space. The dog park is covered in grass, making it a great location for an afternoon game of fetch. On hotter days, visitors can cool off under the shade of the park's trees. Afterwards, take a stroll on the parks paved trails with your leashed pooch. Dog owners are reminded to clean up any mess left behind. The park can be accessed every day of the week from 6am to 10pm. 


  • Lacquer Nails & Spa

  • Downtown Tempe Mill Avenue District

 The Mill Avenue District is a great place to visit in Tempe, Arizona with your dog. This area of town is chock full of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops, and is extremely popular with Arizona State University students. During football season, join the student crowds to tailgate the ASU games, or take a walk down to Tempe Town Lake and walk Fido around the park there. Many of the restaurants feature outdoor seating, where you and your dog can enjoy a meal together. Dogs must be leashed at all times.

  • Creamery Park

 Once the location of the Borden Milk Company, Creamery Park contains a small fenced area where dogs can play. Water fountains and waste bag dispensers are available. 


  • McDowell Sonoran Preserve

Take a walk around the gardens and say hello to the animals there, many of which you can pet and feed. Singh Farms has limited seasonal hours, and their market opens for the year in November and closes at the beginning of June. Dogs are allowed, but must be leashed.
